چکیده
In this study, a technical scheme of an ammonium recovery process from diluted municipal or industrial wastewaters was developed, and the main operational parameters adsorption/desorption air-stripping/acid-scrubbing membrane units were examined. The proposed approach combines removal nitrogen by ion-exchange mechanism on metakaolin-based geopolymers (MKGPs) followed adsorbent regeneration. A regeneration agent purified air-stripping technique technology. ready-to-use market-grade fertilizer industrial-grade ammonia water could be obtained as final product. properties ability MKGP, prepared activated kaolinite clay, compared with new geopolymer adsorbents based papermill sludge (FS MKGP). Adsorption fixed-bed column experiments continuously circulated solution conducted to determine limits solution’s application. Sodium potassium salts tested agents, influence composition rates investigated. Based breakthrough curve analysis, rate N FS MKGP found 3.2 times higher than that for actual wastewater samples. Moreover, there substantial differences in regime between two adsorbents. For technique, liquid-phase temperature 45°C minimal enough efficient transfer gaseous phase. feed-phase 40°C removing solution, while no heating receiving phase required.

Removal of surfactant from industrial wastewaters by coagulation flocculation process
Surfactants are among the most widely disseminated xenobiotics that contribute significantly to the pollution profile of sewage and wastewaters of all kinds. Among the currently employed chemical unit processes in the treatment of wastewaters, coagulation-flocculation has received considerable attention for yielding high pollutant removal efficiency. Jar-test experiments are employed in order t...

متن کاملAmmonium removal from wastewaters using natural New Zealand zeolites
Ammoniacal nitrogen (ammonia and ammonium) in agricultural wastewaters can promote eutrophication of receiving waters and be potentially toxic to fish and other aquatic life. Zeolites, which are hydrated aluminum-silicate minerals, have an affinity for ammonium ions (NH4"") and are, therefore, potentially useful in removing this contaminant from wastewaters. The major objectives of this study w...
متن کاملRemoval of high concentrations of nitrate from industrial wastewaters by bacteria.
Klebsiella oxytoca isolate 15 was isolated from the grounds of a nitration factory and was found to be tolerant to nitrate at concentrations up to 0.5 to 1 M. Physicochemical parameters for optimal growth conditions for K. oxytoca isolate 15 were established. Growth took place when the nitrate concentration in the medium was less than 150 mM, and full nitrate consumption required about 14 g of ...
